The iconic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in action with a special comic celebrating their 30th anniversary!
Boom Studios has announced Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Comic Special” #1. The comic special will feature new stories that focus on the classic version of the original six rangers while also introducing new generations of Rangers!
The original Pink Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson, is teaming up with Matt Hoston for an original short story with the others scribed by Ryan Parrott (Rogue Sun), Mat Groom (Inferno Girl Red), and young adult author Maria Ingrande Mora (Fragile Remedy), along with current Mighty Morphin Power Rangers superstar Melissa Flores! Joining the celebration are returning fan-favorite Power Rangers artists including Hendry Prasetya (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Eleonora Carlini (Go Go Power Rangers), Marco Renna (Mighty Morphin), and Power Rangers newcomer Jo Mi-Gyeong (Eve).
The special will feature never-before-seen stories such as: Alpha 5’s search for purpose, a story about Ernie and his juice bar, a “What If?” story set in an alternate universe centered around Green Ranger Tommy Oliver, a return to Ranger Academy, and a story exploring Tommy’s marriage to the second Pink Ranger, Katherine Hillard-Oliver.
The artwork looks absolutely stunning, featuring a main cover by fan-favorite artist Dan Mora and variant covers by Rian Gonzales, Jamal Campbell, Bon Bernado, Miguel Mercado, and Goni Montes!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first debuted in 1993 and was created by Haim Saban. It is currently celebrating 30 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest-running kids’ live-action series in television history, with over 900 episodes aired to date. To celebrate the 30th anniversary you can catch Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, an anniversary special exclusively available on Netflix now. The 30th overall season of Power Rangers, “Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury,” will premiere this Fall 2023 also exclusively on Netflix.
